Group Gathering Permits

(there is no fee associated with a Group Gathering Permit)

Groups of 10 - 25 people are required to have a Group Gathering Permit to be on park property. This applies to any type of gathering, including groups using the trails.

Groups of more than 25 are required to rent a pavilion and are not permitted on the trails as a group of more than 25.

All Park guidelines for group gatherings are listed on the permit you receive; however, please make note of the following:

  • No alcohol
  • No crabs
  • No glass
  • No fires
  • No amplified music
  • No balloons

Group Gathering Permits are written for a 4-hour maximum and must end ½ hour prior to sunset, or by 4:30 p.m. from November thru February.

Pavilion Rentals and Nature Center programs take priority over group gatherings. A group gathering cannot use a pavilion even if the pavilion is not in use. Open pavilions are available only for individuals and families of less than 10.

Pavilion grills are not available to Group Gathering Permit holders. Personal Grills are prohibited.

The Nature Play Space near the Nature Center is not available to groups. The tot-lot and playground near the lake is available for group use.

Please note: Permits are issued by the Nature Center and only apply to the Nature Center area of the park and trail system. The Nature Center is located behind the Oregon Grille Restaurant. A Nature Center permit does not grant access to the Lodge area of the park or the playground at the Lodge.

If you are ready to apply for a Group Gathering Permit, please fill out the form below and send it to us a minimum of 7 days prior to your requested date.
